The chronicle of the company's nearly 90 years:

1936 the company was founded by Max Kunze

1959renamed in Max Kunze KG

1972 incorporated in a state-owned company of Konfama Radebeul

1980renamed in VEB Elektrokontakt Dresden, BT Radebeul

1984renamed in VEB Plastvorbereitung und Schweißtechnik Dresden, BT Radebeul

1990 trust administration by EKR Radebeul GmbH

1993 joined the corporate community of the Walter Kraus GmbH and consequently the beginning of the complete modernization of the factory premises and the machinery

2001Press welding process introduced with several new machines

2007Expansion of the shipping and administration area

2018Turning and milling center renewed

2020Employees have grown to over 30

2023Punching shop equipped with new presses (up to 160t)

We are ISO 9001 certified

EKR works with TÜV Süd Service Management GmbH and has all internal and external processes transparently reviewed and audited on an annual basis. All our suppliers are also audited and are located within Europe. The ingredients of the materials we use (copper, brass and aluminum) can all be identified with a 3.1 test certificate.

Our current range of products manufactured by modern machinery:

Paternoster storage for copper/aluminum/brass rods and tubes.

Welded lamellar strips before further processing on a milling machine.

A copper strip is heated to approx. 1,000 °C on one side using a welding machine and then welded.

Processed copper blocks, copper strips after processing during milling/turning.
